Established in 1935, Strang is an award-winning integrated architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm. Our inclusive project approach allows us to provide exceptional design for the most unique and challenging projects within the science and technology, commercial, advanced manufacturing, higher education, civic, and cultural sectors.

Strang has always been passionate about integrating sustainable design solutions within our projects. Our company’s history involves some of the earliest energy recovery systems developed in the 1960’s. More recently, when Strang relocated our Madison office, the project was awarded LEED and WELL Gold certification, making it the first WELL certified project in Wisconsin!
What Sustainability Means to Us
Strang’s designers help create sustainable buildings and environments through a wide range of services delivered by our integrated design firm. Strang seeks out innovative opportunities for energy efficiency and increased occupant well-being wherever we can. Sustainable accountability programs we use in sustainable design include Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and the WELL Building Standard. Sustainable and wellness focused practices like LEED and WELL are all a part of Strang’s mission to create a healthy, safe, sustainable, and desirable experience for our built environment.
